AUDITIONS

 

Auditions will be held when it is safe to do so. If you are interested in a future audition, please select the link below. We'll contact you when we are able to hold live auditions.

All positions are non-compensated, volunteer positions.

For all auditions, please prepare two solo works of contrasting styles (or two contrasting movements of the same solo work). Please also prepare several standard orchestral excerpts of your choice (no more than four). In addition, candidates on all instruments will be asked to play an excerpt from the standard repertoire which they will receive upon arrival at the audition venue.

Prince George's Philharmonic performs five or six concerts each season, at various venues in Prince George's County Maryland. We rehearse September through December and January through May on Wednesday evenings from 7:30pm until 10:00pm, mainly, at Northwestern High School.
